the best birthday present ever : the shootsac
Last week on the 26th I turned 26…so it was my magic birthday! It was pretty much the best birthday ever. All I wanted was a shootsac. If you are a photographer, and haven’t heard of them because you have been living under a rock, you should check them out. The amazingly talented Jessica Clairedesigned them, and the bags are just as amazing as her photographs! That is saying something!!! Thank you so much Alex my love for getting me this awesome bag! And thanks to my Mother-In-Law for getting me the wicked awesome cover! I love them so much and I can’t wait to use the bag on my family portrait session this Saturday!!!

A little close up of the cover

This picture cracks me up! The other night when we were at Wal Mart Paige grabbed this little Cinderella camera off the shelf. How could we say no to that! So this morning as I was taking pictures of my shootsac I heard Cinderella’s voice from the other room telling Paige what a great picture she took. (the camera talks, I bet you figured that out already huh?) I though how perfect! My little photographer in training. She has to get a shot with the shootsac! She is so dang cute with her crazy hair and snotty nose! I just love my little photographer!

A big thanks to Jessica for making a camera bag that isn’t ugly! You rock my socks!
Mindy : one of my favorite people
Mindy is one of my most favorite people on the whole planet! I just love this girl! She is so dang funny! We saw each other the other day and she gave me one of her business cards. Since we are friends I had to tell her just how ugly they were and that she needed an update VERY bad! She just graduated as a massage therapist and she needs some really cool business cards made up. So we decided that I would design her an awesome business card with her picture on it and she would give me a massage! Sweet! So we did a quick session while she was in town. Here are my favorites.
This is my favorite shot of Mindy from the day. (Mindy lets do this one for your business card!)

Happy Easter! A few days late
I love going to church every week but Easter Sunday is one of my favorites. As I was sitting in church Sunday morning with Alex and Paige I was thinking about how blessed my life is. I am just so grateful to have such a wonderful family. I love you all so much! Here are some pictures from our Easter Sunday.
Paige looking so sweet in her Easter clothes

Dang I have a cute kid!

Even though she couldn’t eat anything IN her basket, that didn’t stop her from actually eat THE basket!

Such a sweetie

Sammi & Matt : The Wedding
These are a day later than I wanted them to be but it is worth the wait. I had such a wonderful time photographing this wedding. Sammi & Matt are both beautiful people and so easy to take pictures of. I had a really hard time picking my favorites, but finally I narrowed it down.
Their wedding colors were brown and cream which I loved! They had kind of a rustic theme going on. It was really cute. here are some little details.

The Shoes.

The Rings.

Sammi getting ready. Isn’t the window light beautiful!

Sammi… so pretty.

Matt with a little flare going on!

Alex snagged this picture. I love how the sun was backlighting the couple.

The next two pictures are kind of cool. Almost 3 years ago I took Sammi’s sisters wedding pictures. I think they are both daddy’s girls because I caught the same expressions on their faces.
Sammi with her Dad

Kirby with her Dad at her wedding 3 years ago

Matt taking the garter off with his teeth. he was really embarrassed to do this, but it was the one picture Sammi really wanted. He was a good sport!

Sammi has the cutest grandparents. They were joking with me all night. The grandpa told me if I take a bad picture of him he will sue me for defamation of character! Good thing all of the pictures of him were awesome! He was a riot!

Some dancing going on

Sammi & Matt : The Preview
Here is a little teaser from last nights wedding. I had such a great time and the pictures turned out pretty dang awesome! I will try to get the rest up later tonight!

Congratulations Sammi & Matt!
Green is the new Pink: just for today
I had to dig deep to find something green for Paige to wear today. All she has is pink! But I did find something that Alex’s mom bought her AND she is using her green bottle today. I like to be festive! Anyway here is a picture I took with my phone because I don’t have my camera with me!

Happy Green Day everyone!

Heidi & Jeff’s Engagements: Downtown SLC
I have wanted to take some engagements in downtown Salt Lake City for a while. Heidi and Jeff said they were up for anything. We started at the Exchange Place. It is a really awesome historic district in SLC. After that we headed to The Gateway for some fun portraits. We had so much fun, I can’t wait for their wedding in April!

The great looking Jeff and the beautiful Heidi….so photogenic!

This is my favorite shot of the day. They both look so in love…and the light is perfect!

Heidi and jeff did not want to sit on the ground in this alley. I will admit it was a bit scary, but I told them it would be worth it. This is one of my favorite shots of the day!

Isn’t Heidi just about the cutest thing you have ever seen?

A shot for the moms! Don’t they look great!

It was overcast and cold almost the whole time, but right at the end of the day the clouds parted and I was able to catch this shot!
