Best of 2008 : The Engagement
I am in Love with Engagement sessions. No really, I am. It is my favorite part of my job because it gives me the chance to really get to know my awesome clients. By the end of the session my cheeks hurt from smiling. 2008 was so awesome for engagements. I had about 30 favorites when started picking them but I felt like I should narrow it down a bit, so here are my absolute favs!

Bad Day.
I sat on my couch this afternoon a broken woman. It seemed like no matter what I did crap just kept pilling on. Nothing could break me out of this sad and depressing slump I had fallen in . . . until Alex came home for lunch with a big basket of beautiful flowers in his arms. How could I not smile? Alex asked to to be his wife 4 years ago today. Thanks my love! You really made my day!
Now on to business news, I was lying in bed last night thinking how stupid it was that my Christmas sale only lasted until the 15th. I have decided that these sale prices will be good until the first o December, which is the same day that all orders for Christmas will need to be ordered by. Don’t forget that Christmas Cards must be ordered by the 22nd! If you are ordering your photos online the promo code is: XMAS08
To the next order of business. . . I have been a very bad blogger. I had so much fun in October blogging every day, but I just couldn’t keep it up. I don’t know how [b]ecker did it for so long!!! I do have a few thing I need to blog
-UHS Cheerleaders
-Lili’s Maternity Session
-Katie and Robbie’s Engagement Session-Take 2!
I think that I will be up to date after that. Keep checking back.
Mucho Loves!

Fifi and James : the Engagement Fall style!
Stephanie (Fifi) and James are not getting married until next summer, but we thought it would be fun to take a few mini engagement sessions leading up to her wedding! I love taking pictures for my relatives because they are already so relaxed with me. I don’t have to tell a stupid ice breaker joke or fall over a car jack to loosen things up! I swear I am a clutz!
I am so excited about Fifi and James’ wedding! Fifi is letting me be her wedding planner, so of course it will rock!!! It will be so amazing! I can promise that!
We decided to take some at the exchange place in downtown SLC (which I love!)
This may be one of my favorite e-session pictures I have ever taken! Don’t you love the colors!
This picture makes me laugh. There was a random shopping cart in the middle of the Exchange Place so of course I had to use it!!!
After we spent some time downtown we went to Gardner Village. I love that place at Halloween!!!
I love this one so much!!!
So cute!
Rileigh & Mark:The Engagement
Well I have so many sessions to blog I decided to try and blog twice a day. It may not happen every day but we will see what I can do! I really want to keep my blog updated!
Rileigh & Mark are getting married next month and I am really looking forward to it. They are a really cute couple and their wedding sound like it is going to be really awesome! Here are my favorites!
I try not to go to the same place over and over again, but I really wanted to use this old orange van for an engagement session. I just think it is so funky and cool. Oh and if you are wondering why Rileigh and Mark are laughing so hard it is because I almost fell flat of my butt tripping over a car jack. I swear I am so clumsy.
I swear I love our drive-in! It is so cool!
They are so cute huh!
Mike & Misty : the engagement
Mike and I have known each other since Jr. High School, so when his fiance Misty called me about doing their wedding I was pretty excited. I am really excited how their engagements turned out. How could they be bad! The are both so good looking! Their wedding is next month and I am sure it will be awesome!
Favorite shot!
Misty has a little girl Jayden who they wanted to include in their engagement session. I am so glad they brought her!
I love this one of Jayden giving “Michael” a hug. ( that is what she calls him! Not Mike…Michael!)
Don’t you love the cookie n her lips and in her hand.
Jayden and Mom
I love this shot! Mike is so cute with Jayden!
Thanks for a fun evening! Can’t wait for the wedding
Layce & Clay : the engagement
This engagement session was so much fun. Layce use to work for me at Cheer Tyme, so we had a few laughs during the shoot. Their wedding in September is going to be a blast!
I found a new killer location. Technically we were ‘trespassing’ but since we were not stealing or vandalizing I kind of ignored the sign. It was so worth it!
This is how they were all day! It was pretty funny!
Brooke & Mitch : The Engagement
Brooke and Mitch wanted some outdoorsy type pictures for their engagements. After speaking to Brooke I thought about my friends Grandma’s house. She has a beautiful yard and and awesome pasture behind her house. Then we went to Gorky Park, which is always beautiful.
They looked at me all crazy when I told them to run towards me. But I think it was worth it.
Amber & Alex : the engagement
WOW! Two post in one day! I am doing good!
I was beginning to think that Amber and Alex’s engagement pictures were NEVER going to happen! The weather here has been just awful! But I guess third (or fourth, I can’t remember!) time is a charm! They were just a dream to take pictures of! They were up for anything which I LOVE!!! Here are my favorites!
Doesn’t Amber have the most amazing eyes you have ever seen!
Her ring was wicked cool!
My favorite shot of the day.
Again…the EYES! No wonder Alex can’t stop looking at her!
Ok…I love this purple door! So much fun!
Hello! Gorgeous couple!
I am SOOOO excited for Amber and Alex’s wedding in August!
Jacque & Cory : the engagement
The old drive-in in Roosevelt has recently been one of my favorite places to shoot. I have wanted to do some shots on the marquee for a while but never knew how to pull it off. Jacque (my sister-in-law) works at the drive-in during the summer and her boss happened to be there when we were taking pictures and she suggested putting their names on the marquee. I was flippen’ stoked! Congrats Jacque and Cory!
My favorite shot of the day!
These next shots were taken from inside the marquee base. I love the old, gritty, vintage look to them!
We spent so much time at the drive-in and we were running out of daylight. We decided to take some prettier shots at Gorky Park.
Love the backlighting!
We are going to take a few more engagement shots later since we ran out of sun! Congrats both of you and welcome to the family Cory
